British bicycle security brand, Hiplok has hired Aspekt Brand Communications, Suzette Ayotte’s San Francisco based public relations agency specializing in the cycling and outdoor industry to handle the launch of the Hiplok Gold wearable bike lock.
Based on the proven design of the Hiplok V1.50 Original, the $129.99 GOLD is a 10mm hardened steel chain lock, which can be adjusted to fit a rider’s waist without being locked. It features a new 'speed buckle' design, making carrying and using the Hiplok easier than ever before.
Hiplok founder Ben Smith and Ayotte first worked together in 2002 through their respective association with Brooks England, Smith as Brooks’ product manager and Ayotte as the North American public relations arm. Smith and co-founder John Abrahams – both cycling enthusiasts and industrial designers – launched Hiplok in 2011.
